Moral Compass

Dreams Do Come True, Inc is, first and foremost, a faith-based organization that places God first in all we do. Understanding this fact, is it pertinent that establishing a moral compass in our participating youth is a priority. We stand by the Word of God and believe Proverbs 22:6

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (NIV).

The ability to discern right from wrong has become an issue in our society! The ideal of being politically correct has allowed us to embrace the many shades of gray and we no longer stand for either “it is black or white”. Morals are a person’s standards of behavior or belief concerning what is and what is not acceptable to do. We have lost the ability to discern where that baseline exists due to becoming tolerant to everything. There is a responsibility that comes with our freedom. Unfortunately, in society the culture has changed in that no one wants to take responsibility for their actions; it is always someone else’s fault. We address this issue by intentionally setting the bar through instilling program standards to provide preparation through training, outreach, education and assistance.
